History
The beginnings
Cear was established in 1980 as a company for the design and construction of automation and instrumentation panels. Since its beginnings, its team has worked for leading corporations to provide “turnkey” supplies for industrial and material handling plants in Italy and abroad.
Maturity and the completion of the range
The experience up to that point led to the awareness of the company’s ability to offer customers complete service that includes engineering, design, production and installation of switchgears and complete automation systems according to customer specifications.
Starting in the year 1990, Cear decided to develop products for electrical distribution, constructing low and medium voltage power distribution switchgears, certified and compliant with European and international standards.
The presence of Cear on the market of infrastructure and major works led to the development of specific products dedicated to this sector’s need, including containerized and tunnel transformation and distribution substations.
Quality and Innovation
The close ties between automation and know-how led Cear to create the “Pegaso” Electronic Weighing line in 1997, winning the Milan Chamber of Commerce SME Technological Innovation award.
1998 was the year in which Cear’s consolidated process control method achieved ISO 9001 certification.
In 2007, the Milan Chamber of Commerce awarded Cear with the Milan production award for its 25 years of commendable work and, in 2010, the company celebrated its 30th anniversary, re-launching its image and international market presence
In these highly complex and competitive times, Cear’s approach of investment in quality and innovation and going against the trend in the sector, has opened up the company to new opportunities on the market has been rewarded, allowing Cear to expand its sales network, move its head offices and expand its prospects for sale and production into new market niches.

Costruzioni Elettrotecniche CEAR was found. The production was based on Electrical panel and programmable logic for automation systems
First international supply in Saudi Arabia for a UREA plant: engineering and design of Automation switchgears and instrumentation.
Cear decides to enter in the business of Electrical Distribution. It gains CESI certifications for LV and MV switchgears.
The market is requesting something new: Containerized and compact tunnel substations start to be part of the production.
The range of products is expanded thanks to the “Pegaso” Electronic Weighing line for which we obtained the prize for Technological Innovation in SMEs at the Milan Chamber of Commerce.
Cear obtains the ISO 9001 certification, reconfirmed and updated in the following years.
First turn key project for Automation and electrical distribution of a plant.
Cear’s motto borns:“Sistemi integrati dal bit al Kilovolt”.
Cear enters in vendor list of important EPC contractor and develops important international collaboration in strategic markets.
Thirty Anniversary of Company’s activity: Supply of a Complete Automation System and Electrical distribution of a crushing and screening plant for Panama Canal extension.
L.E.R. building for West Harbor project in Egypt – first job including electrical and mechanical and turnkey engineering and manufacturing coordination.
New corporate image and new headquarters in Gessate, equipped with modern offices and a larger production area.
Zubair Oil field prj.: 70 substations delivered in 12 months, a titanic enterprise resulting from the ability to manage and coordinate teams of people.
Obtained UL/CSA certification according to 508A regulation for American and Canadian markets.
The works of the high-speed Milan-Genoa shipyard begin: Cear supply many substations and electrical equipment.
New Sales representative in UAE and delivery of the first DNV certified substation for Off-shore platform in Abu Dhabi.
Atex notification and product certificates are obtained.
Cear participate in two important projects in Egypt: Zohr and Atoll with the construction of PMCC switchgears, Switchrack in Atex execution and Local Equipment Room Building.
It is the year of the debut on the market of our entire range of Electrical equipment for Hazardous Area (Atex) fro zone 1: from junction boxes to control panels and Exp substations.
A complete automation system is created for a concrete crushing and screening plant in Ethiopia.
Acquisition of important orders for the first time in a project destined for the Australian territory, Egypt and Iraq.
Opening to the German and European market with a new commercial representation.
